Cruising out of Long Beach or San Pedro? You're not alone — they're the two busiest cruise ports on the West Coast, and a growing number of our Temecula Valley customers sail from them every year. Here's how to make the trip to the ship the easiest part of your vacation.
How far are the cruise ports from Temecula?
Both ports are roughly an hour and a half to two hours from Temecula Valley, depending on traffic. Long Beach (home to Carnival's terminal) and San Pedro (the Port of Los Angeles, serving Princess, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and others) are only a few miles apart, so the drive time is nearly identical.
Why a shuttle beats driving yourself
- Cruise parking is charged per day, so a week-long cruise adds up quickly — before you've even boarded.
- No fighting port traffic or hunting for the right terminal after a long drive.
- Door-to-terminal service: we drop you at the luggage porters, not a distant parking structure.
- On your return, we're waiting when you clear customs — no shuttle bus to a parking lot with tired kids.
Room for all the luggage (and the whole group)
Cruises mean serious luggage, and our transit vans swallow it — suitcases, car seats, strollers and all. Traveling with another family or a big group? A private van for up to fourteen often costs less per person than driving two cars and parking both.
Timing your pickup
Cruise lines assign boarding windows, usually starting late morning. We plan your pickup so you arrive within your window — early enough to beat the rush, not so early you're waiting on the curb. For the return, ships typically clear between 8 and 10 AM; tell us your ship and sail date and we'll handle the rest.
Book both ways at once
Most cruisers book round trip in one go: pickup at your Temecula-area home, drop at the terminal, and a confirmed ride home when you return. Get an instant price with the search at the top of our home page — select the cruise port as your destination.
